The women of Community Lutheran Church have invited the women of Williamstown Lutheran Church to Lord, Teach Us To Pray, a women’s retreat in New York. See the details below:

Lord, Teach Us to Pray

This has been chosen as the topic for the CLC Women’s Retreat this fall with Pastor Rasmussen as leader.
All women are invited.

 

When:              Saturday, September 10, 2016

Where:             Luther Gutknecht’s charming cabin-in-the-woods, just a 20 minute drive from the Essex NY ferry dock.  Carpools will be available.
Study Guide:  Good News Magazine on this topic will be provided to you 2 weeks in advance.

 

Proposed Agenda:

Arrive 9:00 a.m.: I will meet people at the Essex NY dock at 8:30 am to lead them to the cabin.
9:00-9:30       Coffee, juice and croissants/bagels.
9:30-11:00      Pastor begins to work with us through the topic.
11:00                 A 15 minute break.
11:15-12:00     Resume discussion with Bibles in hand.
12:00-12:45    Lunch al fresco and time for a stroll.
12:45-1:30       Afternoon session.
1:30-1:45         Break—chocolate!
1:45-3:30         Resume discussion.
3:30                   Leave for ferry, hopefully the 4:00 ferry.

 

Cost:                $10.00 due August 1st to indicate your commitment to attend and time to order your copy of Good News.

 

Bring: Bible, lawn chair, your Good News magazine, and a notebook.

 

Sign-Up: Sheets will be posted as early as July 1st (given vacation schedules).  Please sign up if you will help with Food, Set-Up of Cabin, Clean-Up, Provide Carpool. Need Ride.

 

Friday Night:  Some ladies have liked the idea of staying Friday night.  Limited to 12 persons.  There will be food and program.
Meeting to Finalize Plans: 
Suggest—Sunday, August 28 after Bible Study.  You can pick up your copy of Good News, make arrangements for carpools, and ask questions.

 

Topic Discussion to Continue: 
Suggestion that we continue discussion, whether or not you attended Retreat, at Pew Sisters on Tuesday, September 27th.
