What if your family only had the filthy water to drink from a river or stream? What if your children were sick all the time and couldn’t attend school? What if you were so ill that you could not go to work?

What if your child died from a water-borne disease? What if you died?

Clean Water Can Be Easy and Inexpensive With Your Help
Millions of people around the world face these dire conditions every day. The wonderful thing is that we can help them have clean water with a very simple and relatively inexpensive device. This device will filter the water for an entire household for 10 years. This device costs only $40. Imagine that!

On Sunday, Dec. 11, Bob and Holly Stockett of Touched by Love International, a Christian nonprofit organization, stopped by Williamstown Lutheran Church to demonstrate this extraordinary device, the UZima Filter, that can potentially help millions of people vastly improve their quality of life. The Stockett’s friends, Bill and Chat, who came up with the idea of the water filter, showed us how the device works with only two large buckets—no electricity needed, no replacement filters, just a simple concept based on the kidney dialysis machine.

The Message about the Saving Love of Christ
Currently, Touchkenyan-boyed by Love International is helping families in Kenya with these filters, and they are appealing to their fellow Christians to help. Once the organization can get into a village with the water filters, the villagers ask them why they would do this for them, and then they can begin telling them about the saving love of Christ. First, it’s demonstrated; then it’s told to them in words.
